Angel Jimenez
Multimedia Journalist. Storyteller. Content Producer.
Angel Jimenez senior at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism studying broadcast journalism with an emphasis in producing. She is passionate about storytelling and pays great attention to her newscasts and work. From 2018-2021 she's worked at Arizona's Family (CBS5/3TV), Coronado TV, GreenDesert.Org, Her Campus Magazine, The Cut Network, Walter Cronkite College Council, and The State Press. She wants to learn everything she can about the journalism industry through a variety of different experiences and getting advice from internship bosses who've become mentors; such as, Quita Jackson, Tony Perri, and Tyson Milanovich.
In past years, prior to journalism she has worked at school news publications such as WBTV in Pensacola, Florida from 2012-2014, The First Five in Brunswick, Maine from 2014-2016, and IslanderTV in Coronado, California from 2016-2018. She was also the Public Affairs Officer for the Coronado NJROTC program during her senior year of high school. She also directed and technical directed the live taping and live stream of the Coronado School’s Foundation in 2018 where $200,000+ were raised because of phone call donations coming in during the live taping and live stream.
Angel aspires to one day work for a morning news show like Good Morning America and HLN Morning Express. She is also open to working at an online video production company, online digital news site, or online magazine in the future. She is hoping to stay in the Valley after she graduates in May of 2022 but would also love to head to the East Coast.
In the meantime she's grabbing her camera, running around the city, and probably chasing her latest story with a coffee cup in hand, positivity, and a can-do attitude to make a story happen and to do it justice every time.
